I will try it another way.
I believe in God. I believe God wants us to do the best we can in everything we do. The position of this country and by extension our president is currently the strongest of any Nation. With great strength comes great responsibility. If justice for the less is carried out at the end of a rope then what should justice for the stronger be?
Please try not to answer as if we are as dumb as the folks who listen to AM radio. We all care about this Nation and some of us have served in the military or have kids currently in harms way.
Bad things do not just happen. Everything has a History to it. Unfortunately as Gil Scott Heron said, "We now live in the United States of Amnesia"

Well, we could sit here and go back and forth until we both die of old age, but that is pointless. You think we're idiots, we think you're idiots. Personal belief if what this country was founded to protect. If you don't like my belief, that's fine and vice versa. Let's agree to disagree and move on.

It's a shame the sequencing of replies in this forum make it almost impossible to follow the conversation and understand who you are agreeing to disagree with. I agree with your last part about move on... if you were repsonding to me... or the fish dude... what post is this

I was talkin' to the fish. But it should apply to everyone. I know I spend too much time in my day thinking about or talking about the war (it's part of my life on a personal level) and I come here for relief. So CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG and move on? Let's enjoy the day and plant dome daisies and hug a puppy.

Or plant a puppy and hug some daisy's... I think we should fight all wars with nerf baseball bats.

First off, I'm not what you would call a regular contributor to this forum. More times than not, I see an interesting post but it's well after the fact. I just want you to know that I pray for all of the troops stationed overseas every night. I have a cousin that made it through two tours in that shit hole. Even though I don't agree with the war, the soldiers fighting it deserve our utmost respect. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your child's service.

Thank you very much for the kind words, acknowledgement is really the most important thing to these kids. They want to know that what they are risking their lives for is recognized and appreciated by all of us. Thank you again and keep them all in your prayers.
